How did neo-liberalism and even affects the Argentine citizen? The aim of this paper is to explain how affected and currently continues to affect the implementation of the neoliberal model in Argentina. The reason for their writing beyond the university and try to be a reflection for myself and society as a whole to know more about the state of affairs, since the author is young as the Republic and has wishes that things will change. Neoliberalism before coming to our country, had already begun testing in Chile with Pinochet’s military coup in 1973 in England with M. Tacher and the United States under Reagan, both in the early 1980′s. Until the 1976 coup in Argentina, following the 1973 oil crisis, there were still traces of the good life of the welfare state where the national government played a key role as arbiter between conflicting capital – and even the state work was not just a businessman but played a major role in the economy as job and distributor of wealth in a more proportional way, benefiting the lower classes but also the national capital and the transnational bourgeoisie. The only way the ideologues of neo-liberalism had to insert their ideas and practices in South America was through the Condor Plan through coups, since political power and never would have allowed union democracy. Was suppressed those who were against the regime dictorial, and another important number was “disappeared.” On the other hand, individual freedoms are limited by the Constitution guaranteed Argentina and banned political parties. The junta was responsible for deindustrialize the country, one of the main drivers of income after agricultural production, but the main agent of development of the country not only because it was developing through industrialization but because it was the place where more people working. Unemployment did not exceed 5%. In turn, the Board and the various military who alternated in power until 1983 reduced public spending (health, education, security) and that it was considered unnecessary and was not effective to the state. However, large projects were never completed edilicios. Nationalized the private debt of big Argentine capital economic years later ended up paying citizens. In addition, financial loans contracted with a cheap dollar with the dual purpose of speculating in financial form rather than encouraging the production and on the other side make a Megafuge of capital abroad. The dictatorship in Argentina did not fall nor for the Malvinas War (1982) or otherwise. It was an agreement between the various political parties and the last military government. However, the gap was already open: the new way of controlling and disciplining the lower classes would be by the fear of unemployment and hyperinflation. It is interesting to note as in a democracy (where people can vote and decide on its future) remained the same model, even deepened. So we must ask, why? In the 90′s with Carlos Menem opened the economy and reforming the State, continue with the economic policy of encouraging imports cheap dollar and destroying small and medium-sized enterprises in Argentina. Applied to Domingo Cavallo, President of the Central Bank of Argentina during the dictatorship, the Monetary Convertibility Plan, which became known in slang as “1 peso = 1 dollar,” which did stop hyperinflation and growing achievement the country economically. In terms of public policy there were several phenomena as: Deregulation: Dissolution of price regulators. Generating social security reform with excellent training hospitals without supplies for work, morning long lines to get an appointment for treatment 1 month later, joined the medical staff strikes or administrative response to these adjustments in social spending. Modification of collective bargaining agreements Reducing power of unions Changing laws to encourage economic freedoms. Privatization: & nb sp; sale of national assets to foreign companies with World Bank assistance. Example YPF. To alleviate imbalances in public accounts and to avoid fiscal crisis, however, were too fast processes at lower prices than the market. Provide good services but not excellent prices and more expensive than international. If they were state enterprises, by law, we have to offer the cheapest price.
